Prom Photography Staffordshire | Catherine & Adam

Let’s face it, the usual prom photography can be a little cheesy and dated, so true to form, I wanted to capture some more stylish images from an alternative perspective. Recording memories of my girls is so important for me and while their high school proms are a way off yet, I know when it’s their turn I’ll want every detail captured for them to look back on, so it was a real pleasure to shoot these and I’m really excited to be able to offer prom photography in Staffordshire and the surrounding area.

This evening I met with Catherine and Adam as they got ready for their much anticipated high school Leavers’s Prom being held at Uttoxeter Racecourse, Staffordshire. Wearing an on trend, lace cold shoulder two piece from Celebrity, Catherine looked every inch the elegant, teen Prom Queen. As tradition has it, her dapper date Adam gifted her with an ivory rose wrist corsage, which with her sparkly heels and clutch finished off her look.

Rather than just shooting some portraits, I wanted to tell a little of the story of their evening so I arrived early and spent a little time capturing the final bits of preparation as they got ready to go and shot some of their details too. Before leaving for what’s likely to be the night of their lives, we made the most of their transport, a quirky 1950s winged Buick, to capture some classic but fun images that they can look back on without cringing in years to come… We all remember those awkward teenage years, right?
