Dannny & Jemma | Weston Hall Wedding Photographer

Here’s bit about Danny & Jemma’s Weston Hall Wedding

How did you meet?
Feb 2009 at The Junction Pub in Chasetown!! Hahahaha Classy!

Tell me your proposal story
We were in Stratford for the weekend celebrating my birthday (I thought) Daniel proposed to me on December 19th 2015 along the river in Stratford! We had been for dinner and went for a walk afterwards, it was just me & him when he got down on one knee and asked me to marry him …. I was so shocked! I had no clue!

Why did you choose the venue(s) you chose for your wedding day?
When I was young we would often drive past Weston Hall and I was always amazed at the place (thinking it must be haunted) I always said I would love to get married there! It was the first venue we looked at, we looked at Pendrall Hall too but it just wasn’t us! We always wanted a small intimate wedding and we just felt Weston Hall was perfect for us

What was it you loved about your outfits and accessories that made you choose them?
I never thought I would have the dress i had! I am so self conscious of my shoulders so always thought I would want something that covered them up! How wrong was I, I fell in love with the dress the moment I tried it on! I had actually refused to try it on (being a diva) but Becky at Silk Brides just knew I had to try it! It was the second dress I tried and I just knew it was ‘The One’ I went to another bridal shop to try others but no other dress compared to how i felt in the one I had! It was all lace and just stunning! I didn’t want to take it off! I went for a belt with just a little bling which was also from Silk and a small Hair Comb from Glitzy Secrets (an amazing online accessories shop at fab prices). Daniel & the Groomsmen’s suits just looked classical, he always wanted a navy suit with a waistcoat and that’s exactly what he went for.
I loved the girls dresses because they looked so elegant and the style & colour suited them all. They were all really happy with their dresses

Mother of the Bride looked beautiful and so elegant, stunning dress and accessories from Mix & Match in Rugeley. Mother of the Groom looked amazing in her dress and fascinator from La Femme in Sutton Coldfield, both Mama’s looked incredible and totally complimented each other, my mom selected a colour to match the bridesmaids and MIL went for navy to match the Groom and Groomsmen

Tell me about the vision you had for your wedding including your theme/colour scheme/styling/flowers:
Initially the colour theme was ‘Dusty Blue’ but when the girls tried some dresses on in this colour it just didn’t feel right, so in the end they went for a dress in ‘Taupe’ which then that set the theme for the wedding. Weston Hall is decorated & furnished beautifully in my opinion so I didn’t feel it needed a lot of dressing! I went for mainly White Hydrangeas & Foliage in the flowers with bursts of pink, peach & pearl for some colour adding Roses, Freesia’s & Carnations. Not sure on the vision I had for the wedding, I think I just made it up as I went along and hoped it all looked good together! Haha! We had so many comments on how amazing the day was.

What were the best parts of the day for you?
I couldn’t possibly pick a favourite part! I loved it all!

Why did you choose Ian France as your photographer, and what was your experience of your photography on the day?
Ian shot my brothers wedding and produced amazing photos so we knew we would have him for our day! Ian likes a laugh and becomes one of the guests, he has a very relaxed approach which makes you completely at ease! he knows exactly what he wants to achieve! He captures the most amazing photos and you actually sit back with some photos and say ‘HOW DID HE GET THAT!?’

Would you recommend Ian France to your Friends?
1 Million percent yes!!

What would be your best bit of advice to other couples planning their wedding?
Do what you want and don’t revolve it all about others! You spend so much time worrying about everyone else that sometimes you have to take a step back and remember why you’re doing it all! Enjoy every minute, as it goes so fast (everyone says that but it really does) I found myself sitting back throughout the day just so I could take it all in!
