A Popular Wedding Venue

Somerford Hall Weddings are usually civil ceremonies but I have also photographed church weddings with the reception being held at this superb venue. Situated in Brewood amongst some beautiful Staffordshire farmland this venue really does feel like you are out in the country without being too far away from main access links. The driveway is long as you lead up to the Georgian Manor House and is a real delight in the summer months with crop fields or sheep grazing either side of the lane. Just over a quaint little bridge and the main house comes into view. Most rooms at Somerford Hall are very light with large windows and tasteful decor, the Adam room is particularly classic and is great for wedding photography in all weathers.

Moving outside there’s a weath of established trees, a hidden stone gazebo and small rose garden, which all offer a great backdrop for pictures. For Springtime weddings you will find hundreds or bluebells in the woods just off the main reception patio area, we of course have to be careful as they are protected, but they make a very unique addition for some quirky wedding photography. Out towards the farm area are some more rustic style buildings and some crop fields, some of which flower with Poppies in the summer… its rare but a beautiful sight if you time your wedding just right.

Georgian Character

Back inside and as well as the main rooms there are also some smaller rooms to use either for photography or for guests to take a quiet minute. The staircase, bridal suite and adam room all offer endless opportunity for photos. The wedding reception room is light and spacious, it also offers great acoustics for speeches. The bay window is a perfect place for the DJ or band to set-up and the main fireplace opposite is an awesome focal point when you add some personalised decor. Above all Somerford Hall Weddings are awesome, it is always a pleasure to visit.
